Our son Bryce received a special Christmas gift from his Aunt Jenny . . . a collection of recipe cards featuring some of her favorite dishes along with several of Grandma Grace’s classics. There’s a great variety of Grace’s recipes including persimmon cake, onion ring batter and freezer cole slaw. I just love the little notes about the recipes like the one on the “Zucchini Cake” recipe that says Grace got that recipe at the beauty shop in 1977.
Grace is remembered as a wonderful cook, and Bryce was excited to have some of her recipes. We made a batch of her “Tempting Apple Crisp” last night. As expected, it was delicious!
