Anyone else dreaming of this year’s garden?
Our garden did not do well last year. By mid-July I was completely discouraged and gave up on it. I am really looking forward to starting seeds this year. I’m going back to the basics, growing things that I absolutely love and that my family can enjoy all summer. If I have an abundance and am able to can or freeze some, that will be a nice bonus this year, but I’m trying not to put any pressure on myself and just enjoy it again.
My seed order from migardener arrived yesterday. 😁 I ordered several of my favorites –
🍅 Paul Robeson tomatoes
🍅 Dr. Wyche’s tomatoes
🥬 Buttercunch lettuce
🩶 Grey Zucchini
💚 Blue Lake pole beans
🪴 Several herbs – basil, thyme, sage, chives, rosemary
I’ve got some projects to do to get the greenhouse back in shape later this spring, but I will probably go ahead and start the herbs in the house this week. 🌱
