DIY Lip Balm

I rarely wear makeup but I love my lip balm! I keep them everywhere – one in the car, my purse, my coat pocket, my desk at work, my desk at home, and all the extras go in the bathroom vanity drawers.

My work lip balms . . . I thought I had one, but there are two. Thought I had one in my purse . . . there are 3!

I’ve been wanting to try making my own for a few years now and finally gave it a try this weekend. I am so happy with it!

Here’s a list of ingredients . . .

1 Tablespoon Beeswax Pellets

1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil

10 drops of Essential Oil

1 Tablespoon Jojoba Oil

1 Tablespoon Shea Butter

Slowly melt all ingredients together in small saucepan on the stove.

While ingredients are melting, prepare your lib balm tubes by removing caps and rubber banding all containers together. This holds them upright and makes them easier to fill. This recipe filled 9 tubes for me.

When all is melted, use a dropper or syringe to fill tubes as full as you can without overflowing.

The balm will cool quickly in the tubes and be ready to use in just a few minutes.

I flavored this batch with Sweet Orange essential oil and it smells lovely! So fresh.
