Grit and Grace Family Farm is a small hobby breeding operation, raising just a few litters each year. Our goal is to raise well-bred family pets and companions. We are experienced pet owners, and have raised many farm babies including calves, goats, piglets, chicks, puppies and one wild little Chincoteague Pony.
Jamie holds a “Veterinary Assistant” career diploma, and has a passion for animal health, especially natural, herbal treatments.

All Grit & Grace Family Farm puppies will be raised in our home, with our family and pets. They will be exposed to a variety of pets and farm animals from a young age. Our adults are our pets first and foremost and live a life of luxury on the farm with lots of room to run and play when they’re not holding down the furniture in the house.
Puppies are whelped and spend the first month of their lives in the main living area of our home, where we can monitor them nearly 24/7. Once they graduate from the whelping box, they move to a room of their own.

Puppies will have age appropriate vaccinations and dewormings, and leave for their new homes with a Puppy Pack including their medical record, a birth certificate, pedigree, CKC registration application, genetic health test reports for parents, breed information, sales contract, and a sample of puppy food.
Our puppies are registered through CKC – the Continental Kennel Club. We have chosen this registry as some of our beloved farm dogs are of excellent temperament and health but came from small breeders who had never registered their dogs with other registries. CKC allows us to submit applications for previously unregistered dogs to begin tracking and building a pedigree for future generations. Applications must be verified by two witnesses and accompanied by several photographs to confirm the authenticity of the registration.

Our mama and papa have been tested for a variety of health conditions through Embark dna testing. Embark delivers the most accurate results and is the highest-rated dog DNA test available, testing for over 200 genetic health risks.
When the puppies are born, we will send photos to everyone on the wait list. Puppy picks will be done at about 4 to 5 weeks, once we can begin to see personalities coming out, to help match the puppies with their forever home. At the time puppy picks are made, a $100 deposit will be due and can be paid via cash (if local) or Venmo or Paypal. The balance will be due in cash when the puppy is picked up at 8 weeks old.
Our puppy contract is available for review. A copy will be emailed or given to each family and should be returned when puppy picks and deposits are made.
